A Angústia de Ser-no-Mundo: Um encontro existencial com Ingmar Bergman
Date: 16-11-2024 15:00
Location: Cinema Soror Mariana
As part of the PhD program in Practical Philosophy at the University of Évora, with the support of Praxis: Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Culture, a cinema session will take place this coming Saturday, in which the enigmatic and fascinating Bergman film *Persona* will be revisited. A film that has been seen many times, but never fully seen. A film that always escapes: as the title promises.
The screening will be framed by a double presentation, led by Thamiris Iorio, psychologist and PhD student in Practical Philosophy, and António Júlio Rebelo, philosophy professor and PhD in Philosophy and Cinema from the University of Évora, with a published dissertation on Ingmar Bergman.
This invitation offers the audience the challenge and opportunity to actively participate in a debate about such an intrinsically philosophical film, which might even convince us that philosophy, too, is perhaps a cinema waiting for its screen.
