This working group focuses on: 1) describing the personal experience of action, particularly its existential dimension; 2) investigating how this type of description reveals connections with various cultural forms; and 3) enhancing our comprehension of cultural dynamics and creation through phenomenological analysis. PCWG’s goal for 2025-29 is to consolidate, enrich, and expand its existing activities in the fields of Phenomenology (including phenomenological-existential therapy and the phenomenology of technology), Philosophy of Culture, and the intersection of Phenomenology and Culture. Regarding this intersection, PCWG will explore the rich and nuanced contributions of phenomenological approaches to our understanding of life, as well as to the cultural and social frameworks in which human life unfolds.By means of this exploration, the PCWG aims to consolidate PRAXIS’ position as a leading center in Phenomenology and Philosophy of Culture, while demonstrating the relevance of these fields to the great debates of our time.
