This working group concentrates on more explicit dimensions of action, delving into ethical and political action through both historical examinations and contemporary debates. It also aims to reflect on new patterns of action at the individual, social and political levels.
Bringing together experts from normative ethics, applied ethics, contemporary political philosophy, political science, and the history of moral and political thought (especially ancient, medieval, and early modern), the EPWG fosters theoretical and practical approaches, distinct traditions (analytical and continental, including phenomenological approaches), and interdisciplinary collaboration across various domains.
From these intersections, the EPWG endeavors to analyze and address a series of pivotal questions centered around three key concepts: Power, Justice, and Care.
