The PhD program in Philosophy at the University of Beira Interior includes a doctoral program in the field of practical philosophy. It is a program aimed at postgraduate studies in ethics, political philosophy, and social philosophy, framed within the activities of the PRAXIS Research Center.

In its teaching part, the course includes thematic doctoral seminars in the mentioned areas of specialization. Simultaneously, students attend methodological seminars dedicated to introducing research, essay writing, and preparation of their dissertation projects.

The various conferences, seminars, and colloquia organized by PRAXIS - Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Culture, have the participation of eminent national and foreign specialists, and are an important element of the PhD Program, for which graduate students attending the PhD Program are invited to actively participate.
