(Coordination by André Barata and João Seixas, with photography by Duarte Belo) 6 sessions at the “Ler Devagar” Bookstore / Casa do Comum in Bairro Alto / May-November 2024
The proposal of this cycle of lectures extended over time, reemphasizing the place of meaning and attendance that is the bookstore, is also to make a place, a meta-place, for the meeting of perspectives and perplexities, knowledge and experiences of these and other transformations of places that affect and reaffect the ecology of the relationship with the world.
Perspectives from sciences such as geography, anthropology, sociology, philosophy; perspectives of activism and citizenship that emerge in places; perspectives on the ways in which scientific, socioeconomic, artistic and cultural resonances are reflected.
All these perspectives that visit, meet and confront each other, themselves fulfilling the question of meaning. What future do we reserve for a life of places, with places, that makes places? What encounters, what interconnections, what communities? In other words: What a future we have in store in a world of places.
