Praxis: Centre for Philosophy, Politics and Culture (UÉvora), in collaboration with the Doctoral Course in Philosophy at the University of Évora, is organizing the second edition of Tecnofanias: Colóquio Internacional e Interuniversitário de Filosofia da Tecnologia, on the 8th and 9th of February 2024.

The colloquium will open with a mini-course lectured by Alberto Romele ((Institute of Communication and Media, Sorbonne Nouvelle University), dedicated to the topics covered in his most recent book Digital Habitus: A Critique of the Imaginaries of Artificial Intelligence. Participation in the mini-course will entitle you to a certificate. Prior registration is required which can be done here, and will give you access to the entire conference.

The two days of the colloquium will also include the presentation of books dedicated to the Philosophy of Technology in Portugal, the Permanent Seminar on Phenomenology: Phenomenology of Technique and Technology V, and various panel discussions dedicated to the issues of Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization, Technological Imaginaries, the Anthropocene and Technoscience.
