David Borges Gonçalves

Doctoral Researcher

Professor of Political Philosophy at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), affiliated with the Department of Philosophy of the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Politics (IFISP). He also teaches in the Graduate Program in Political Science at the Federal University of Piauí (PPGCP/UFPI). He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Beira Interior (UBI, Portugal). He obtained a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES, 2010), and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the same institution (UFES, 2012). He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science (2023) and in International Relations (2025) from the Centro Universitário Internacional (UNINTER, PR). Additionally, he earned both a Bachelor’s and a Licentiate degree in Biological Sciences from the Faculdades Integradas São Pedro, Campus II (FAESA, 2005). He serves as Vice-Leader of the “Research Group in Humanities, Social Theory and Political Theory” (UFPI), and is a member of the “GEPAVP – Research Group on Álvaro Vieira Pinto” (UNESPAR). He is also a member of the Scientific Committee of Praia Editora and of the Brazilian Political Science Association (ABCP).
