Lyssandra dos Santos Tascone ENG
Lyssandra dos Santos Tascone is a psychiatrist and specialist in psychogeriatrics, and a researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry of the University of São Paulo (IPq-USP).
She is currently conducting post-doctoral research at the University of Évora with the project “Aging from the Perspective of Care in Contemporaneity and its Approach to Daseinsanalyse,” registered at PRAXIS/UÉ under the supervision of Professor Irene Borges-Duarte. Additionally, she is undergoing training in existential analysis at the Brazilian Association of Daseinsanalyse.
Her previous academic trajectory was in the field of neurosciences, focusing on the investigation of neuroanatomical and functional changes found in neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's Disease) and normal aging through neuroimaging. She earned her PhD in Psychiatry from the University of São Paulo (USP), which included a research internship at Duke University, North Carolina, USA (2013).
