Pedro Lourenço

Guest Assistant Professor

Pedro Lourenço holds a PhD in Political Science from the Universities of Aveiro and Beira Interior (2024). He is currently an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Beira Interior, where he serves as Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations, and a Full Researcher at the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP – University of Aveiro).

He holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Aveiro (2017), a BA in Political Science from the University of Minho (2015), and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Porto (2009).

In 2021, he was a visiting postgraduate research student at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh, where he subsequently served as a tutor between 2022 and 2023.

His primary research interests include European politics, political parties, and the radical left.
