Rogério José Schuck ENG
Rogério José Schuck (born in Rio Pardo, 1970) is a philosopher, professor, and researcher. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from FAFIMC, as well as a Master’s (1999) and a PhD (2007) in Philosophy from PUCRS. His research focuses on Gadamerian hermeneutics, understanding, and the historicity of tradition.
Since 2001, he has been a member of the faculty at the University of Taquari Valley – Univates, where he is a Full Professor on a tenured, full-time basis (dedicação exclusiva). He has held several administrative and academic leadership roles, including Vice-Director of a research center, Graduate Studies Coordinator, and member of various institutional committees. He currently coordinates the Graduate Program in Teaching (PPGEnsino).
His teaching experience spans multiple undergraduate and graduate courses, bridging philosophical foundations with epistemology, ethics, pedagogical practices, and the teaching of Exact Sciences. He develops research on digital information and communication technologies in education, active methodologies, scientific initiation, investigative processes, and entrepreneurial pedagogy, coordinating and collaborating on various institutional projects.
He is the author of an extensive body of scientific work in national and international journals and serves as a peer reviewer and editorial board member, including for the journal Teoria: Rivista di Filosofia. He has received various academic distinctions, such as the CBCE Scientific Literature and Visual Arts Award (2021) and multiple honors from graduating classes at Univates.
