António Amaral
He currently teaches in the fields of Philosophy and Cultural Sciences, focusing his research on Ancient Philosophy (especially Aristotelian), Classical Thought and Culture, Practical Philosophy, Decision Theories, the Religion-Culture Relationship, and the Translation of classical Greek texts. Notable publications include translations from the original Greek of Aristotle's works "Politics" (2016 reprint) and "Nicomachean Ethics" (2019), as well as his monographs "Cultum: Excursions in Hermeneutics, Politics, and Religion" (2018), "Prakton: Discursivities of Action in Aristotle" (2019), and "Didaktos: A Collection of Teaching Schematics and Pedagogical References in Philosophy" (2022).
He is a Research Member at PRAXIS – Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Culture at the University of Beira Interior, part of the translation team for the Complete Works of Aristotle (currently undergoing critical edition at the National Press-Casa da Moeda), and a member of the Portuguese Society of Philosophy.
