José Maria Silva Rosa

Professor (Praxis/UBI)

Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy (in 1992), Master's Degree in Philosophy (in 1997) and PhD in Medieval Philosophy (in 2005) from the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP, Lisbon). Aggregation in Medieval Political Philosophy (in 2020) at the University of Beira Interior (UBI).

From 1993 to 2002, he was a Professor of Philosophy, Theology, Religious Sciences, Communication Sciences and Social Service at the FCH of the Portuguese Catholic University in Lisbon. Since 2002, he has been a teacher at UBI - Faculty of Arts and Humanities, where he is currently a Full Professor.

At UBI, among other positions, he was a Library Professor from 2013 to 2017, and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities from 2017 to 2021. He collaborates with some other national research centers and is a member of national and international scientific associations.
